Siemens EDI LXM45ZEDI Module Repair for IONPURE Pure Water Equipment

One,EDI MaintenanceService:
Kebei Environmental Protection (Guangdong) Co., Ltd.Long-term professionals in ultra-pure water treatment technology research, engineering installation, and after-sales service, offering diagnostic and repair services for EDI issues to clients and engineering companies. With years of experience in EDI usage and after-sales service, our company possesses EDI cleaning and regeneration equipment, resins, anion and cation membrane sheets, anode and cathode plates, and other accessories. We can restore EDI water quality to its original state for issues caused by EDI joint fractures, internal overheating and burns, pure water chamber blockages, brine chamber scaling, and back leaks. EDI units that have reached their service life can continue to be used for another 3 years after internal resin membrane sheet replacement and other relevant materials, without the need to purchase new EDI membrane blocks, significantly reducing user costs.
The current main EDI module models we serve are as follows:
U.S. GE E-CELL MK-2ST, MK-2MINI, MK-2E, MK-3, MK-3MINI EDI module systems
United States IoTnPURE LXM30, LXM24, LXM18, LXM10, VNX50-2 CDI Membrane Block System
American Electropure XL-100, XL-200, XL-300, XL-400, XL-500, XL-500-L modular systems
II. Causes of EDI Damage:
EDI is a critical component of pure/distilled water systems, and any instability or unavailability will inevitably shorten the lifespan and cause failure of polishing mixed bed resins, severely impacting production.
The main causes of EDI module failure include the following points:
1. The EDI module operates continuously under high current and low flow conditions, leading to accumulated heat that cannot be dissipated. This results in the heating and deformation of the membrane sheets near the EDI's poles, an increase in the浓water pressure difference, and a decrease in both water quality and quantity to varying degrees.
2. The EDI module has not been cleaned and maintained for a long time. Calcium and magnesium scaling has built up on the EDI membrane and channels, resulting in increased pressure differences between the incoming and outgoing water, causing a decline in the water quality output, rising voltage, and inability to regulate current, ultimately rendering it unusable.
3. Long-term lack of cleaning and maintenance for the EDI module, or extended downtime without protection, can lead to organic matter buildup in the EDI membranes and channels. This results in increased pressure differences between the incoming and outgoing water, a decline in water quality, voltage spikes, and an inability to regulate current, ultimately rendering the system unusable.
4. Using unreasonable cleaning agents directly leads to damage and breakage of EDI resin, increased differential pressure between incoming and outgoing water, resulting in a complete drop in both water quality and quantity produced.
5. When the EDI system is manually operated and powered on under a water shortage condition, it directly results in the carbonization and overheating of the membrane and resin. Cleaning is ineffective, rendering the system unusable.
6. No security filter before EDI water intake, directly leading to foreign matter blocking the EDI channel, increased differential pressure of incoming and outgoing water, resulting in a significant drop in water output, and ineffective cleaning. Additionally, poor pretreatment (softener, sulfur dioxide addition system, RO, etc.), control system failure or malfunction (safety interlock device, issues with low flow protection), and inappropriate system design (discharge of RO initial water not implemented).
7. Exceeding rated current or voltage, or human error in operation.
8. Inadequate system maintenance management and non-compliance with EDI usage conditions.
Our company offers diagnosis, repair, and regeneration services for various types of damaged EDI and CEDI membrane blocks, restoring them to their original performance. This allows you to extend the lifespan of your existing EDI modules (CEDI membrane stacks) without the need to purchase new ones.
Section 3:EDI MaintenanceMethod:
1. Develop an initial repair plan based on customer data and descriptions.
2. Upon arrival at the factory, the membrane modules are first tested and cleaned on-site. If necessary, they are disassembled for inspection, and any internally damaged components are replaced, including electrodes, anion and cation membrane sheets, resin, separator plates, connector wires, and sealing rings, etc.
3. After completion of repairs, retest the item; the product is ready for shipment upon passing a 48-hour test.
4. Assist clients in optimizing current equipment processes and addressing issues during operation, based on maintenance conditions.
5. Cleaning agents and maintenance care solutions available.
If all the hardware of the CEDI module (EDI membrane stack) is in good condition, the following replacements will be made to the EDI module:
1. New ion exchange membrane.
2. New O-rings
3. New ion exchange resin.
4. Standard factory quality inspection.
5. The module contains protective fluid prior to shipment; users must regenerate before use.
6. Modules with performance meeting customer requirements or customized to fit.
4. Maintenance Notice:
1. Customers should provide as much detail as possible regarding the process flow of the pure water equipment, the operation report of the EDI, and its operational status, which is beneficial for determining the cause of damage.
2. The EDI module must be in an undamaged condition without any disassembly prior to repair.
3. Provide complete interfaces and accessories; the transportation process requires sturdy packaging to prevent secondary damage.
4. Factory inspection and disassembly are complimentary; only charge for material replacement.
5. After repair, strictly follow the application and maintenance requirements for the membrane module.
6. One-year limited warranty on repairs performed by our company; water quality must be above 16M, and water pressure must meet the standard at the time of the new membrane module's factory shipment.
7. During the repair period, we can provide spare membrane blocks without affecting the customer's production.
Five,Effect
Tertiary RO water serves as the feedwater source; the water quality from the EDI system can reach above 16M. The treated water quality, flow, and pressure all meet the performance standards of the original factory's new products. The amount of treated water and concentrate water has reached the level of new membrane modules.GE/INOPURECompany's factory products are identical.
