Characteristics of closed-end deck plates:
Compared to the combination of closed-type floor deck and open-type steel deck, the closed-type floor deck can eliminate the need for fire-retardant coating on the bottom of the board, completely replace the lower steel reinforcement, and reduce the thickness of the floor deck, saving concrete usage. Additionally, the suspended system of the closed-type floor deck can also save on the installation of mechanical and electrical pipelines. Moreover, due to the aforementioned, the processing speed can be significantly increased, shortening the construction period. Therefore, using the closed-type floor deck can reduce both construction costs and project management expenses.
Closed deck panels have a fire resistance limit of at least 2 hours.
Key Features of Closed Deck Floor Panels:
1: Adaptable to the rapid construction requirements of main steel structures, it can provide a stable working platform in a short time and allows for the laying of corrugated steel sheets on multiple floors, with a sequential construction method for pouring concrete slabs in layers.
2: During use, the roof-decking acts as the tension reinforcement for the concrete floor slab, enhancing the floor's rigidity while also reducing the consumption of steel and concrete.
3: The embossed surface of the profiled plate generates a bonding force between the floor deck and concrete, integrating them into a single unit. Accompanied by stiffeners, the floor deck system boasts high load-bearing capacity.
4: Under cantilever conditions, the floor deck serves only as a formwork. The cantilever length can be determined based on the cross-sectional characteristics of the floor deck. To prevent cracking of the cantilever plate, negative reinforcement should be installed at the support according to the design of the structural engineer.
Our roof deck has passed the fire resistance limit test by the National Fixed Fire Extinguishing System and Fire-Resistant Component Quality Testing Center. As a composite roof deck, it does not require fire-retardant coating, thereby significantly reducing the construction cost.
6: After the shaped steel plates are laid, it is convenient for ceiling installation, pipeline arrangement, and ventilation ductwork.
7: Due to the connection of the roof deck to the main and secondary beams of the steel structure, it forms an integrated unit, thereby offering excellent seismic performance.
Closed-top deck panels are a new technology product introduced by our company, a more composite deck panel system that has been experimentally proven to have greater load-bearing and shear resistance than other open-type deck panel systems. The unique design of the closed rib shape ensures that the steel deck ribs are completely encased in concrete, similar to the rebar in cast-in-place slabs, thereby maximizing the characteristics of both steel and concrete. This allows for successful application in load-bearing reinforced deck panel systems and offers fire-resistant properties.
