Two-way stretched plastic grating
Bidirectional stretched plastic geogrid is a high-strength reinforced geosynthetic material made from polypropylene (PP) through plastic extrusion, sheet punching, longitudinal stretching, and transverse stretching. It boasts numerous advantages such as high strength, stable structure, resistance to aging, and corrosion resistance. The bidirectional plastic grid is a type of bidirectional geogrid, which, compared to other geosynthetic materials, has unique properties and functions. The plastic bidirectional grid is formed by high polymer polymers through extrusion, sheet forming, punching, followed by longitudinal and transverse stretching. This material has significant tensile strength in both longitudinal and transverse directions, providing an ideal chain system for force bearing and diffusion in soil, suitable for large-area, load-bearing foundations.
Application Fields
Double-extended geogrids are primarily used for reinforcing soft soil projects in roads and railways, as well as for slope protection and large-scale landfill projects. They significantly enhance the load-bearing capacity of soft soil foundations, prevent surface cracking and collapses, facilitate construction, and reduce maintenance costs.
Bi-directional plastic grating applications: Suitable for reinforcing embankments and subgrades, slope protection, wall reinforcement for tunnels, as well as for large airports, parking lots, and cargo yards, etc. Ground reinforcement for structural support.
Enhance the bearing capacity of road or foundation, extending its service life.
2. Prevent ground collapse or cracking, maintaining an aesthetically pleasing and orderly surface.
3. Easy installation, time and labor-saving, shortened project timeline, reduced maintenance costs.
4. Prevent cracks from forming in culverts.
Enhance soil slopes to prevent soil erosion.
6. Reduce the cushioning thickness to save on construction costs.
7. Stabilize green environments with边坡植草网垫 to support slope grassing.
8. Suitable for replacing metal mesh, used as false ceiling mesh in coal mine shafts.
Installation Method for Bi-directional Plastic Grating
When used for subgrade and pavement, the two-way plastic grillage should be excavated to form a base bed, set a sand cushion layer (with a difference not exceeding 10cm), compacted into a platform, and then laid with the grillage. The longitudinal axis should align with the main load-bearing direction, with a longitudinal overlap of 15-20cm and a transverse overlap of 10cm. Bind the overlap areas with plastic strips, and secure the laid grillage to the ground using U-shaped nails every 1.5-2m. The geotextile grillage should be backfilled with soil material promptly, and the number of layers laid depends on technical requirements.
