Lost Foam Casting (also known as Solid Pattern Casting) is a new type of casting method where foam models similar in size and shape to the casting are bonded together into a cluster, coated with refractory paint, dried, and then buried in dry sand for vibration molding. Under vacuum, molten metal is poured to vaporize the model, allowing the liquid metal to occupy the model's position. After solidification and cooling, the casting is formed.
Investment casting has the following characteristics:
Castings offer high quality and low cost. Materials are not restricted, suitable for various sizes; high dimensional accuracy, smooth surface, reduces cleaning, saves machining time; significantly reduced internal defects, dense structure.
Achieves large-scale and bulk production. Automated assembly lines produce environmentally friendly products. Can significantly improve working conditions, reduce labor intensity, and minimize energy consumption.
