Lost Foam Casting, also known as Solid Pattern Casting, is a new type of casting method that involves bonding and assembling foam models similar in size and shape to the casting, applying refractory coatings, drying them, and then burying them in dry sand for vibration molding. Under vacuum, the models are melted and the liquid metal occupies their positions, solidifying and cooling to form the casting.
Investment casting has the following characteristics:
Castings offer high quality and low cost. Materials are not restricted, suitable for various sizes; with high dimensional accuracy, smooth surfaces, reducing cleaning, and saving machining time; significantly reduced internal defects, and dense structure.
Achieves large-scale and bulk production. Automated assembly lines produce environmentally friendly products. Can significantly improve working conditions, reduce labor intensity, and minimize energy consumption.
