Stainless steel plate is actually a product that is not easily corroded. Unless it is in some serious cases, it is impossible for any product to be free from corrosion. If our stainless steel plate is corroded, it may affect its normal use. Therefore, in order to avoid this situation, we still need to take some preventive measures. Let's first understand the factors that cause corrosion of stainless steel plate?
1) Electrochemical corrosion
Scratches caused by contact between stainless steel plates and carbon steel parts can lead to electrochemical corrosion when they form galvanic cells with corrosive media. If the pickling passivation effect is not good, it will also cause uneven or too thin passivation film on the surface of the board, which can easily lead to electrochemical corrosion, slag cutting, splashing and other rust prone substances adhering to the board, and then forming primary cells with the corrosive medium, resulting in electrochemical corrosion. Poor cleaning of acid pickling and passivation results in chemical corrosion products between the remaining acid pickling and passivation residue and the board, which then form electrochemical corrosion with the board.
