Stainless steel hot-rolled plates are steel plates produced through the hot-rolling process. Plates with a thickness of no more than 3mm are considered thin, while those thicker than 3mm are thick plates, used in industries such as chemicals, oil, machinery, and shipbuilding for manufacturing corrosion-resistant parts, containers, and equipment.

Hot-rolled stainless steel sheets have low hardness, are easy to process, and possess good ductility. They have relatively lower strength and slightly inferior surface quality (with oxidation, lower luster), but good plasticity, usually medium to thick plates.
