7A09 Aluminum PlateThis is a super-hard aluminum alloy in the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu series, which has been widely used in the aerospace industry since its application in aircraft manufacturing in the late 1940s and remains a highly utilized ultra-high strength deformed aluminum alloy today.7A09 Aluminum PlateCharacteristics include good plasticity after solution heat treatment, excellent strengthening effect by heat treatment, high strength below 150°C, and exceptional low-temperature strength; poor welding properties; tendency to stress corrosion cracking; requires aluminum clad or other protective treatment for use. Double aging can enhance the alloy's resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Its plasticity is slightly lower than that of 2A12 aluminum plate in annealed and just quenched conditions. It is slightly superior to 7A04 aluminum plate, with better static fatigue, notch sensitivity, and stress corrosion resistance compared to 7A04 aluminum plate.
Usage:
7A09 Aluminum PlatePrimarily used for manufacturing aircraft structures and high-stress, corrosion-resistant components, such as upper and lower wing skin panels, trusses, etc. Has good plasticity after solid solution treatment and excellent heat treatment strengthening. Maintains good strength below 150 degrees Celsius and particularly good low-temperature strength.
