Suction vacuum pump internal working substance pressure and velocity change curves
Water at a certain pressure from the centrifugal pump enters the nozzle through the water chamber. The nozzle converts the pressure energy of the pressurized water into kinetic energy, with the water jetting out of the nozzle at high speed, creating a high vacuum inside the chamber. This vacuum draws the vapor-gas mixture from the condenser, which then enters the diffuser. As the water speed slows down, the pressure gradually increases, and the mixture is expelled from the diffuser at a pressure slightly above atmospheric. An anti-clockwise valve is installed at the inlet of the air intake chamber to prevent the working water from being drawn into the condenser in case of a pump failure.
