
Cold rolling seamless steel pipes involves transforming the martensite into seamless steel pipes before the workpiece enters the precision extrusion equipment. The rough rolling is still carried out under full martensite conditions, followed by the ultra-fast cooling system between the finishing mill and the rough mill, reducing the temperature of the hot-rolled strip to below, and then entering the finishing mill.
The nitriding treatment method for seamless steel pipes primarily involves using a nitriding furnace. The seamless steel pipes are placed on a tray and then hoisted to the bottom of the furnace using a crane. Additionally, nitriding furnaces with door lifting load-bearing design can be made, allowing for heating of wall-mounted products using lifting and hanging tools. The furnace shell is typically driven by a reduction motor and an electric automatic lifting and lowering mechanism. After the lid is closed, another clamping foot bolt ensures the seal of the nitriding furnace vacuum pump. The process begins with vacuum packaging, followed by nitrogen gas for the heat treatment and nitriding process.

Clearly, the heating temperature for the cold-rolled billets in the seamless steel tube area is lower than that for basic cold rolling, significantly reducing heating energy consumption and increasing the output of the heat treatment furnace. Lower temperatures also decrease the heating rate of hot-rolled strip steel, thereby reducing fatigue cracking and fracturing caused by internal stresses, and minimizing wear on the hot-rolled strip steel. Ultra-low temperature cold rolling can further reduce the generation of secondary zinc dust, improve the process performance of hot-rolled products, and enhance the operation rate of the pickling passivation line. Actual production verification shows that replacing traditional cold-rolled and quenching hot-rolled thin plates with hot-rolled thin plates produced by hot-rolling in the seamless steel tube area can significantly reduce production costs.
