Steel strip pipe utilizes U-shaped steel strip composite PE material, enhancing hoop strength without increasing costs, and is superior to spiral-wound and KEG pipes in terms of weight. It can address heavy load issues and more. The large diameter production pipes range from DN300mm to DN2400mm, maintaining hoop strength above 8KN/m2, and are lighter than cement pipes and other plastic pipes.
Characteristics of steel strip pipes:
1. Resistant to contamination, waste water, and chemical corrosion; not prone to corrosion due to decomposing matter in the soil.
2. The pipe wall is designed with a "U"-shaped structure, which is less prone to cracking even in cases of ground settlement. Additionally, it has excellent recovery properties after deformation and offers great adaptability to different ground conditions.
3. Pipe materials are typically black, capable of withstanding direct sunlight exposure during storage and construction.
4. Pipe materials are not prone to cracking or leaking due to expansion in -60℃ environments.
5. Lightweight: Easy to transport and install, being only 1/8 the weight of concrete pipes; requires only an excavator for trenching, no large machinery needed.
6. Easy to connect, pipes can be assembled outside the trench and then pushed into place by an excavator, reducing engineering time and costs.
7. Excellent conveyance capability for domestic wastewater sludge.
8. Internally smooth to minimize friction and ensure rapid drainage.
9. Low construction, management, and maintenance costs.
10. The circular external tensile structure of the pipe not only increases the hoop stiffness of the pipe but also serves as a root barrier, addressing the issues of tension and well caving caused by longitudinal displacement of the pipeline.
11. Due to the elastic modulus ratio of steel and plastic materials being greater than 200 and the weight ratio exceeding 7.85, steel strip-reinforced pipes, particularly large-diameter pipes, are more prone to exhibit hoop stiffness and stiffness-to-weight ratios compared to pure plastic pipes.
