LargeAggregate steel plate siloDesign Principle Collaboration
I. Structural Shape and DimensionsLarge steel plate storage facilityThe effective diameter of the storage can reach several to dozens of meters, with a height-to-diameter ratio of about 1:1. The storage is cylindrical in shape with a spherical segment-shaped dome. The walls are constructed of steel plates welded together; the hemispherical dome is formed through a unique architectural structure involving special structural design and the combination of multiple arch beams, which provides reliable load-bearing capacity due to its rational structure. The bottom of the storage is concave, designed using the wedge force boost principle, with varying design parameters depending on different climatic conditions and geological structures. Regarding the storage capacity and bulk density of materials: The single storage capacity is 100,000 tons. A single cement storage can hold 10,000 to 100,000 tons, and can be grouped to form a cement storage complex with a total storage capacity of several hundred thousand tons. The bulk density of cement is related to its storage, with cement having a high gas content entering through an inclined chute having a lower bulk density, generally around 1.2, which can reach 1.4-1.5 after some time, and around 1.7 if stored for a longer period. Typically, the storage bulk density of cement is calculated at 1.45. For the entry of materials: Both mechanical and pneumatic methods are available. The method of material entry can vary depending on the specific conditions of each factory, and can include hoist entry, inclined chute entry, or pneumatic conveying pipeline entry. Between storage domes, and between the dome and the hoist frame, bridges can be constructed to facilitate the installation of material entry conveying equipment. Regarding the discharge methods and flow rates: Discharge via gas, with a flow rate of up to 200-500 tons per hour. Traditional round silo structures typically use gravity discharge, but as cement is stored for a long time, without external force, the discharge rate is quite low, usually not exceeding 70%. This large steel plate storage uses a special gasification discharge device that combines gas fluidization and pneumatic pipelines.
