Recycling Worn-out Cables: When cables are no longer functional, they are classified as waste for disposal. Some cables are returned to the manufacturer for repair and replacement, while others, which are not replaceable, are typically categorized as scrap copper and disposed of. The collection and processing of these cables are entrusted to local waste material recyclers, who strip the cables for copper and then recycle it. The recovered copper from the cables is then sent to copper factories for cable or other copper product manufacturing, or it is directly smelted into copper ingots.
