Copper-plastic composite tape

Composed of copper foil, polyester film, and adhesive. Copper-plastic composite tape, also known as copper foil Mylar, is primarily used in cables with high shielding performance requirements, such as computer cables, signal cables, communication cables, and coaxial cables, which are specialized cables with high shielding demands. The polyester film enhances the tensile strength of the copper foil.

Total thickness: 0.03 mm

 Note: Upon agreement between both parties, materials with other specifications and allowable deviations can be supplied. The inner diameter of the tube core is 76mm or custom-made according to customer requirements.

Note: Copper-plastic composite tapes should be stored in a dry storage room, away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and have a storage period of 6 months from the manufacturing date. During storage and transportation, it should be avoided to get wet or damaged mechanically.

Copper-plastic composite tape is a composite product made of copper foil and plastic, with specific thickness requirements for both materials. Generally, the copper foil should be thinner than the copper tape. The addition of a plastic layer on the copper foil is primarily to enhance the product's strength; in certain conditions, it also provides some waterproofing benefits.

Compared to standard copper strips, copper-plastic composite strips exhibit significantly improved performance. However, due to the plastic component, they cannot form a sealed shielding structure for the product, resulting in reduced shielding effectiveness. When storing this product, it is crucial to ensure a dry storage environment and to avoid proximity to and direct exposure to fire sources and sunlight to maintain the product's performance.

Due to the unique properties of copper-plastic composite strips, these products have found extensive applications, particularly on cables with small outer diameters and softness, where they offer ideal performance. Therefore, when selecting copper strip products, it is crucial to ensure they are indeed copper-plastic composite strips.
