The gate is primarily composed of three main parts:
① The main activity section, used to close or open apertures, commonly known as a gate, also referred to as a gate leaf.
② Grouting section
③ Shutdown Equipment.
The activity section includes weighting structures such as panel beams, support walking parts, guiding and sealing devices, and lifting ears. The embedded section includes main rails, guide rails, hinge seats, lintels, sill beams, and sealing seats, which are embedded around the holes and firmly connected to the concrete of hydraulic structures with anchor rods. They form supports and sealing surfaces on the gate leaves, facilitating the transmission of water pressure and other loads exerted on the gate leaf structure to the hydraulic structure, and ensuring excellent gate sealing performance. The opening and closing mechanism is connected to the lifting ears of the gate leaves to control the position of the activity section, although some gates are operated automatically with hydraulic control.
