A lightning rod tower is a common protective device against lightning in the form of an iron tower. Also known as: lightning rod tower, steel structure lightning rod, tower-type lightning rod. There are four specifications of lightning rod towers: GFL Four-column Angle Steel Lightning Rod Tower; GJT Three-column Round Steel Lightning Rod Tower; GH Steel Pipe Rod Lightning Rod Tower; GFW Lightning Wire Tower.
All metal parts must be galvanized; be mindful to protect the galvanized layer during handling.
2. The needle tips are made of galvanized steel pipes with a wall thickness not less than 3mm, and the tinning length of the needle tips must not be less than 70mm. 3. The lightning rod tower should be installed vertically and securely. The allowable deviation in verticality is 3/1000.
4. Welding requirements: The welding should be performed using lap welding, with the lap length complying with the following specifications:
5. The flat steel is twice its width (and at least three edges are welded).
6. The round steel is six times its diameter.
7. When connecting round steel to flat steel, the length should be 6 times the diameter of the round steel.
8. Lightning rods are typically made of round steel or steel pipes, with a diameter not less than the following values:
A single lightning rod typically uses galvanized round steel with a diameter of 19mm.
The lightning rod on the B-roof is made of 25mm diameter galvanized steel pipe.
The lightning rod on the top of the c water tower is made of galvanized steel pipe with a diameter of 25mm or 40mm.
The lightning rod at the top of the chimney is made of 25mm diameter galvanized round steel or 40mm diameter galvanized steel pipe. The lightning arrester ring is made of 12mm diameter galvanized round steel or 100mm cross-section galvanized flat steel, with a thickness of 4mm.
9 The lightning rod should be made of round steel or welded steel pipe, with a diameter not less than the following values: for needles less than 1m long, round steel should be 12mm and steel pipe 20mm; for needles 1-2m long, round steel should be 16mm and steel pipe 25mm; for needles on the top of chimneys, round steel should be 20mm and steel pipe 40mm.
