Vertical combustion test for single-core wire and cable is conducted using a specified size Bunsen burner and a specific gas source (propane), applying flame at a certain height and an equal ignition angle to the specimen in a vertical position over a timed period. The flammability and ignition hazard are evaluated based on the time to ignition, duration of combustion, and length of the flame.
