The smooth operation of the intelligent glass greenhouse hose micro-irrigation system, which extends the lifespan of micro-irrigation equipment, hinges on proper use, maintenance, and excellent handling.
Equipment Processing
For the operation of micro-irrigation equipment, strict adherence to the technical specifications of the equipment's operation is mandatory, as well as the application and protection of the micro-irrigation equipment. After initial work and changing crops, the water pumps and pipelines of the intake reservoirs (dams, canals, ponds, etc.) should be repaired and pressure tested to ensure the normal operation of the micro-irrigation equipment.
2. Protection and Preservation
Routine inspections and protection of hose micro-irrigation equipment are crucial, as protection is a vital part of the operation process and ensures the equipment remains in good working condition, thus extending its lifespan. Therefore, enhancing equipment maintenance and protection is particularly important.
Regularly maintain and protect water source projects such as reservoirs, ensuring that equipment is always in stock.
(2) It is essential to regularly clean and remove sediment and other pollutants accumulated in reservoirs. Algae in still water of open reservoirs tend to thrive, so during the irrigation season, it is important to apply green vanadium to the pool to maintain a concentration of 0.1 to 1.0 ppm, thereby preventing algae proliferation.
(3) There must not be any suspended particles larger than 0.8mm in the water source; otherwise, a filtration device is required.
(4) Pumps should be maintained and protected according to the pump operation rules, and care should be taken to prevent freezing during winter use.
(5) During the micro-irrigation process, it is essential to clean the hose reels promptly, removing any residue and sediment from the pipes. When cleaning, open the head or clog at the end of the hose reel. After cleaning, tie the end securely and return to normal operation.
(6) After each fertilization and medication, it is necessary to flush the pipes with clean water for a period of time to ensure cleanliness.
(7) Upon the end of each crop's irrigation period, the hoses are removed from the triple tube soil and washed with clear water. Subsequently, the hoses are usually coiled into trays according to the shed and box numbers, stored in a cool, dark, and dry warehouse to prevent rodent damage for future use.
(8) For accessories of micro-irrigation equipment, such as tees, straight-throughs, and rigid pipes, the connections between tees and rigid pipes are typically not disassembled at the end of each irrigation cycle. They are usually stored in the warehouse along with the flexible hoses. Straight-throughs and flexible hoses generally do not need to be disassembled and can be directly coiled onto the hose reel.
(9) When coiling hoses, it is generally required to follow the original folding method, ensuring that any creases are flattened before coiling.
(10) Due to the thin wall of the hose, a control thickness of only 0.2mm is generally required. Therefore, during routine fieldwork and crop rotation preservation, careful handling is necessary to avoid scratching or piercing the hose. Moreover, when rolling the reel, move while rolling and do not extend the hose.
