Learn the Basics - Nine Usage Tips for High-Temperature Electric Furnaces

Do not let the high-temperature furnace get damp to prevent electric leakage.

The power cables connecting to the controller and electric furnace, as well as the switches and fuses, should have a load capacity slightly greater than the rated power of the electric furnace.

Do not touch the thermocouple when placing materials into the furnace, as the hot end of the thermocouple inserted into the furnace is prone to breakage under high temperatures.

Before checking the circuit, turn off the power switch first, then switch the controller panel to the "on" position, adjust the settings button, set the temperature to the desired level. If you switch to the measuring position, a red light (if present) will turn on, along with its respective contactors and power, and the ammeter will indicate the heating current value. The temperature inside the furnace will gradually rise, and the temperature will be in operation.

5. It is not advisable to place chemicals containing acids or alkalis, or strong oxidizers, inside the furnace. Furthermore, it is strictly prohibited to burn items inside the furnace that pose an explosion hazard.

6. The high-temperature furnace will begin heating unless a timer switch is installed and turned off. Initially, the heating indicator light will be brightly illuminated, gradually dimming as the furnace temperature approaches the programmed set point.

7. When metal and other minerals are subjected to heat treatment in a high-temperature furnace, they should be placed in a dedicated crucible or other high-temperature-resistant container.

8. If the over-temperature setting is accidentally triggered, an indicator light or message on the over-temperature controller will blink, and the heating element will be isolated. Identify the cause and correct it, then reset the over-temperature controller according to the provided instructions.

During the operation of the high-temperature furnace, it is essential to monitor the instrument status closely to avoid not being aware of any malfunctions.
