    Insulation and energy-saving technology in light-gauge steel structures ensures long-lasting thermal performance in building facades and roofs. The used thermal insulation materials can maintain their insulating properties over time. In light-gauge steel structure residential buildings, in addition to filling glass fiber mesh in the wall columns, an extra layer of thermal insulation material is added to the exterior wall, effectively breaking the thermal bridge from the wall columns to the exterior panels. Glass fiber is also filled in the joists of the middle floor, significantly reducing heat transfer between floors. Furthermore, glass fiber is filled in the wall columns of all interior wall structures, greatly reducing heat transfer between rooms (steel structure welding).

    The key to fire-resistant lightweight steel structures lies in the application of fire-resistant technology; the fire resistance grade of lightweight steel structure residential buildings is 4. Fire-resistant gypsum boards are installed on both sides of the walls and at the ceiling of the floor slabs in the lightweight steel structure residential buildings. For general fire-resistant walls and partition walls, 25.4mm (1 inch) thick gypsum boards are used for protection, meeting the one-hour fire resistance requirement. Additionally, the glass fiber added between the wall columns and the floor joists plays a positive protective role in fire resistance and heat transfer.

    Acoustic insulation technology incorporates glass wool between the lightweight steel structure's interior and exterior walls, as well as between floor joists, effectively blocking audio transmission through the air. For impact sounds transmitted through solids, the following structural treatments are applied: compared to partition walls, a two-wall column structure is used, consisting of two walls with an intermediate gap; for suspended ceilings, the use of fixed gypsum board with small joists is complemented by an elastic structure with small slots to significantly reduce solid sound transmission between floors (steel structure welding).
