Xi'an Nanofiltration Membrane Equipment Overview
Nanofiltration (NF) is a membrane separation device between ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis (RO), where organic solvents and various small substances in the feed stream are concentrated through a filter paper from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side, resulting in permeate or ultrafiltrate. The retained molecular weight ranges from 80 to 2000, with a diameter of about 1 nanometer, suitable for separating cations larger than 1 nanometer. Therefore, it is called nanofiltration. The entire nanofiltration process can be carried out at room temperature without alteration, chemical changes, or destruction of biological activity. It can effectively retain divalent organic molecules with molecular weights over 200 while allowing most monovalent carbonate cations to pass through, enabling the separation of similar proteins and carbohydrates, and accomplishing the separation of high- and low-molecular-weight organic compounds.
