Product Introduction: Three-dimensional Vegetation Net (also known as three-dimensional geotextile mat, grassing net, and slope protection net) is a new technology for slope protection that utilizes active plants in conjunction with engineering materials such as geosynthetic materials to construct a self-growing protective system on the slope surface. This system reinforces the slope through the growth of plants. According to the terrain, soil type, and regional climate characteristics of the slope, a layer of geosynthetic material is applied to the surface, followed by the planting of various plants in a specific combination and spacing. The growth of the plants achieves the objectives of root reinforcement and stem and leaf erosion prevention. After treatment with ecological slope protection technology, a dense vegetation cover is formed on the slope surface, with a complex root system in the topsoil layer, effectively inhibiting the erosion of the slope by heavy rain runoff and increasing the shear strength of the soil mass. Reducing pore water pressure and the self-weight of the soil mass, this significantly enhances the slope's stability and resistance to erosion. When the vegetation coverage rate reaches over 30%, the slope can withstand light rain erosion; at a coverage rate of over 80%, it can withstand heavy rain erosion. As the plants grow lushly, the runoff velocity that can be withstood reaches up to 6m/s, more than double that of typical grass cover. The presence of the geotextile helps reduce soil moisture evaporation on the slope and increases infiltration. Additionally, due to the black polyethylene material of the geotextile, it has a heat-absorbing and insulating effect, promoting seed germination and benefiting plant growth.

The three-dimensional vegetation net slope protection technology combines the advantages of geotextile nets and vegetation slope protection, serving as a composite slope protection method. Based on the characteristics of the slope terrain, soil quality, and regional climate, a layer of geosynthetic material is covered on the slope surface, and a variety of plants are planted at certain combinations and spacings. Due to the black polyethylene material of the geotextile net, which has heat absorption and insulation properties, it promotes seed germination and is conducive to plant growth. Through the growth activities of the plants, the purpose of reinforcing the root system and preventing erosion of the stems and leaves is achieved. Construction Techniques


Slope treatment


Clean all debris and rocky materials from the slope, backfill and compact the low-lying areas flatly, ensuring a smooth slope surface.


Install a three-dimensional net


1. Pre-buried: When the three-dimensional net is laid on the slope top, it needs to extend 40-80 cm, buried in the soil and compacted.


2. Installation: Lay the three-dimensional vegetation mesh along the slope from top to bottom on the slope surface, ensuring a smooth and even connection between the mesh and the slope.


3. Anchoring: Secure the three-dimensional mesh from bottom to top using U-shaped rebars with a diameter of 6mm or more. The U-shaped rebars are approximately 15-30cm in length and 8mm wide, with an interval of about 1.5-2.5m between them. Auxiliary fixation is achieved with 8# U-shaped nails or bamboo stakes in the middle.


4. Soil Covering: After the three-dimensional vegetation net is laid, cover the net evenly with soil, ensuring the net is fully covered without any gaps, and the soil thickness on the three-dimensional vegetation net is not less than 12mm. Then, mix the fertilizer, auxin, and binder in a certain proportion and apply it evenly on the surface. The fertilizer is a compound fertilizer with a ratio of N:P:K=15:15:15 or N:P:K=10:8:7, along with organic matter containing N, with a dosage of approximately 30-50g/㎡.


5. Hydroseeding: After backfilling and soil covering are completed, a hydraulic seeding process is conducted. The seeds (about 25 grams per square meter) are mixed with adhesives to promote growth, wood fibers, fertilizers, auxins, moisture retainers, and water in a specific ratio, creating a uniform mixture. This mixture is then evenly sprayed onto the slope surface using a hydroseeding machine.


6. Coverage: After the spray-seeding is completed, cover the slope surface with non-woven fabric to retain moisture on the slope and reduce the erosion of seeds by rainfall, promoting seed growth. If the temperature is too high, no covering is necessary to prevent the occurrence of pests and diseases.


7. Maintenance Management: After the grass spraying is completed, regular maintenance is essential until the lawn establishes. Once the grass reaches about 5 cm in height, the non-woven fabric can be removed.
