Plastic drainage boards are made by pressing plastic substrates made from polystyrene (HIPS) or polyethylene (HDPE) into conical bosses or reinforced ribs (or hollow cylindrical porous shapes). Through continuous innovation and research, the raw materials have seen significant improvements and changes, and are now produced using polyvinyl chloride (PVC), resulting in greatly enhanced compressive strength and overall flatness. A well-designed drainage system plays a crucial role in the construction timeline and the normal use and lifespan of structures. The drainage board, combined with porous drainage pipes, forms an effective drainage system. The cylindrical drainage boards, along with geotextiles, also create a drainage system, thereby forming a system with functions of water infiltration, storage, and drainage. The top surface of the conical boss is bonded with a layer of filtration geotextile to prevent soil particles from passing through, thereby avoiding blockages in the drainage channels and ensuring smooth water drainage through the apertures. Traditional drainage methods employ bricks, tiles, and a generous amount of cobblestones as the filter layer. Or, use gravel as a water filtration layer and drain water to a fixed location. Replacing the gravel water filtration layer with a drainage board for draining water saves time and effort, conserves energy, reduces investment, and also lowers the load on the building.
