Short-cut glass fiber yarn

Short-cut glass fiber, also known as glass fiber short-cut staple fiber, is produced by melting quartz sand into a molten state and drawing the staple fiber with a special sizing agent (softener). The fiber is then cut short either through wet-cutting in-line or by short-cutting the product glass fiber.

Primarily used to reinforce thermoplastic materials. Due to its favorable cost-performance ratio, it is particularly suitable as a reinforcing material for the shells of cars, trains, and ships. It is used in high-temperature needle felt, automotive sound-absorbing panels, hot-rolled steel, and more. Its products are widely used in the automotive, construction, and aviation daily用品 industries, with typical items including auto parts, electronic appliances, and mechanical products.

Inorganic fibers that can be used to enhance the impermeability and crack resistance of mortar concrete, also serve as a highly competitive alternative to polypropylene fibers and lignin fibers for reinforcing mortar concrete. They can also improve the high-temperature stability, low-temperature crack resistance, fatigue resistance, and extend the service life of asphalt concrete pavements.
