Condensate Recovery Units are used for the recovery of condensate generated from various steam-water heat exchangers or production process flows. Condensate is high-quality water that contains a significant amount of thermal energy, making its recovery in steam heating systems a crucial measure for energy and water conservation.

High-temperature water, if directly pumped, can cause cavitation due to the vacuum formed before the pump, leading to vaporization of the condensate. In severe cases, sudden expansion of the gas can result in an explosion, damaging the pump. Therefore, traditional condensate recovery methods involve cooling and lowering the temperature before pumping. This method fails to utilize the substantial heat energy contained in the condensate. Moreover, the addition of untreated cold water to the condensate can degrade water quality, necessitating further water treatment. The condensate recovery unit is designed with cavitation elimination measures to ensure direct pumping of high-temperature condensate without cavitation.

Working Principle

It solves the cavitation problem of the pump through the pressure regulating device, cavitation elimination device, and a special water pump inside the tank. This achieves complete closed-loop recovery of high-temperature condensate and high-energy secondary steam, reducing the volume of the collection tank. The use of an automatic control system ensures timely recovery of condensate, minimizes energy waste, and prevents oxygen corrosion, eliminating secondary steam.
