Plate Heat Exchanger

Plate heat exchangers are a new type of efficient heat exchanger composed of a series of metal plates with a certain wavy shape. The thin rectangular channels between the plates facilitate heat exchange. Ideal for liquid-liquid and liquid-vapor heat exchange, they boast high heat exchange efficiency, minimal heat loss, compact and lightweight design, small footprint, easy installation and cleaning, wide application, and long service life. Under the same pressure drop, their heat transfer coefficient is 3-5 times higher than that of tube heat exchangers, occupying one-third of the space, and can achieve a heat recovery rate of over 90%.

Design Features

1. High Efficiency and Energy Saving: Its heat exchange coefficient ranges from 3,000 to 4,500 kcal/m·°C·h, which is 3 to 5 times more efficient than the tubular shell heat exchanger.

2. Compact Structure: Plate heat exchangers have closely arranged plates, occupying less floor space and space compared to other types of heat exchangers. A plate heat exchanger with the same heat exchange capacity as a shell-and-tube exchanger requires only 1/5 of the area.

3. Easy to Clean and Dismantle: Plate heat exchangers are clamped tightly with bolted flanges, making them easy to disassemble and clean at any time. Additionally, the smooth plate surfaces and high turbulence prevent scaling.

4. Long service life: Plate heat exchangers are made of stainless steel or titanium alloy plates, resistant to various corrosive media. The gaskets can be easily replaced, and it is convenient for assembly, disassembly, and maintenance.

5. Versatile: Plate heat exchanger plates are individual components, allowing for flexible addition or reduction of circuits as required, with various configurations; suitable for a wide range of different process requirements.

6. No liquid cross-contamination; the plate heat exchanger features a sealed groove with a liquid drain channel, ensuring that various media do not mix. In case of leakage, the medium always discharges outward.
