I. Introduction to Online Hydrogen Measurement Instruments:

The online hydrogen analyzer is a highly intelligent portable hydrogen measurement instrument for aluminum melt, designed based on the Telegas hydrogen measurement principle. It allows for on-site measurement in front of the furnace without the need for external power or gas sources, directly displaying the hydrogen content per 100 grams of metal.

The hydrogen analyzer for molten aluminum already contains correction factors for nearly 60 alloys; temperature, alloy, or correction factor for the alloy can be input via the keyboard. The instrument features automatic continuous hydrogen measurement and temperature sensing. The large LCD screen directly displays hydrogen content; full Chinese menu prompts for operation; automatic storage and printing of measurement results.

II. Principle of Online Hydrogen Measurement

Hydrogen is the predominant gas in the molten aluminum and aluminum alloy, dissolving in the metal in atomic form and having a tendency to escape from any clean and free surface, establishing a balance relationship on that surface as well.

Hydrogen atom solubility = constant (PH2)^(1/2)

PH2 is the equilibrium pressure of hydrogen gas in the equation.

If, under standard atmospheric pressure (1.01325x10^5 Pa), the solubility S of hydrogen is known (actually, the solubility of many alloys has been determined), then the gas content G will provide a balanced pressure Pi, such that: G = S(Pi/1 atm)^(1/2) atm: 1.01325x10^5 Pa

Pi is the parameter required for the hydrogen analyzer, and it is converted into an accurate gas content, with the unit being milliliters per 100 grams of metal under standard conditions.

As S increases significantly with temperature, it is necessary to simultaneously measure the temperature of the melt when determining the gas content in the melt.

During the inspection, a small stream of pure nitrogen is injected into the aluminum melt through a double-hole ceramic probe. Hydrogen in the metal diffuses into the nitrogen bubble, but even though the bubble is very small, the transfer process is relatively slow. The instrument's circulation system promotes continuous recirculation of this nitrogen stream between the instrument and the aluminum melt. The instrument can continuously measure the composition of the gas and indicate the content that has reached equilibrium.
