Renault Padding Stone Filling Requirements:
Fillings should be made of cobblestone or flintstone, or blockstone, with stone particle size D75~150mm being ideal. Particle sizes are permitted to exceed no more than 15%.
The material should not exceed 75mm in size, but it must not be used on the exposed surface of gabion matting grids. The void ratio should not exceed 35%. The stone should have a hard texture, with a strength grade of MU50, hardness of 3-4, and a specific gravity of not less than 2.5 t/m³. It should be resistant to disintegration and hydrolysis when in contact with water and be weather-resistant.
2. Thin slices and strips of stone should not be used. Weathered rock and mudstone, among others, are also not suitable for filling stone materials.

The filling stone for the mat is sourced from the Hongqi Bridge Stone Quarry, with stone particle sizes ranging from 7cm to 15cm, featuring a compressive strength greater than 40MPa and a softening coefficient over 0.8. To prevent damaging the coating on the stone baskets and to reduce the porosity of the filled stone, the stone filling is done manually. The stone size is allowed to vary by up to 5% without being placed on the surface of the Reno mat. Considering the settlement factor of the stone, the filled stone is left with an extra height of 2.5cm to 4cm.
The stone material is filled into the Renold matting cage, then the matting cover is laid over. The cover of the Renold matting is then twisted together with the upper edge of the separator using steel wire; the edge of the Renold mat cover is twisted with the edge of the side panel of the box. The twisting interval is approximately 15 cm, and it is twisted in an alternating single and double loop pattern.
