Coal Slime Drying Machine

I. Overview
Coal sludge is a byproduct generated from coal mining and production processes. It is inevitable in all stages of coal production, with varying degrees of occurrence depending on the production mechanism, which also determines its value of utilization. However, as the accumulation of coal sludge continues to increase dramatically, it poses a burden on society and the coal production industry. With the increasingly tight coal resources, the emerging industry of coal sludge drying has been born. Currently, China's annual coal sludge discharge is approximately 30 to 40 million tons, with an utilization rate of no more than 20%. If these massive piles of coal sludge can be dried and used to produce industrial or household coal, it would not only help in alleviating China's increasingly strained coal supply to some extent, but also reduce the environmental pollution in mining areas, while bringing economic and social benefits. The technical challenges in drying and upgrading coal sludge include: easy agglomeration into lumps during the feeding stage, causing difficulty in feeding; in the drying process, materials tend to stick to the cylinder and the material conveying device, making it hard to move; and during the drying process within the dryer, materials gradually harden, making it difficult to remove moisture from the interior of the ball-like material.
The mud drier is designed to strictly control the drying temperature, pressure, air volume, and speed based on the specific characteristics of the mud, and effectively addresses the problem of mud sticking to the drum wall during the drying process through various types of feeding, cleaning, and crushing devices within the drum. The countercurrent drying method fully achieves heat exchange and conversion, enhancing drying efficiency and heat utilization while reducing exhaust gas temperature and dust emissions, ensuring energy conservation and environmental protection goals. The system is optimized for different market demands, environmental conditions, mud characteristics, production capacity, and environmental protection requirements to meet various customer needs. The company's products have been scaled up and are now large-scale, series-based, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly drying systems, with over 30 series available featuring different internal structures of dryers to ensure optimal drying results. The drying equipment comes in various diameters from Φ1.9 to Φ4.5 meters and lengths from 16 to 30 meters, with daily processing capacities ranging from 200 to 2000 tons. The feed moisture content is 30±5%, and the drying moisture content can be reduced to 10±2% or even lower. It effectively handles fine-grained, high-moisture, and high-viscosity mud (coal mud) without sticking, arching, or blocking during the drying process, ensuring safety, reliability, and smooth flow with excellent dispersion and high evaporation intensity, solving a series of technical challenges in mud drying.
Section II: Performance Features of Coal Sludge Drying Machine
The mud drier system design takes full consideration of the properties of the drying feedstock, featuring a special internal drum structure. This not only enhances thermal efficiency but also effectively prevents sticking and over-drying of the material inside the drier, boasting the following excellent characteristics:
1. The dryer has strong overload resistance, high processing capacity, low fuel consumption, and low drying costs.
2. Utilizing a downstream drying method, flue gas and wet material enter the dryer from the same side. This allows for a high evaporation intensity by utilizing high-temperature flue gas, resulting in a low exit temperature from the dryer and high thermal efficiency.
3. Adjust operating parameters based on different material properties to form a stable full-bonded material curtain inside the dryer drum, ensuring more thorough heat exchange.
4. The coal slurry dryer system utilizes a new feeding and discharging device, eliminating issues such as feeding blockage, discontinuity, unevenness, and backflow in drum dryers, thus reducing the load on the dedusting system.
5. The new internal structure enhances the cleaning and heat conduction of dispersed materials, eliminates sticking on the inner wall of the cylinder, and offers greater adaptability to material moisture and stickiness.
6. The system achieves "zero horizontal thrust," significantly reducing the wear on the挡托轮, ensuring smooth and reliable cylinder operation.
7. The dryer utilizes a "centering roller bearing assembly," ensuring linear contact between the roller and the ring, thereby significantly reducing wear and power loss.
8. Product particle size and moisture content can be controlled according to customer requirements. During the drying process of coal slime, the moisture content of the product can be reduced to below 8%, and the particle size can be controlled to less than 8mm.
