Installation Considerations for Ventilation Louvers

The installation of ventilation domes is an elevated work performed on the factory building. What should be taken into account during the installation of ventilation domes.

1) Apply construction waterproofing adhesive at the junction during installation, and pay attention to the orientation of the joints, ensuring that the joints align with the dominant wind direction.

2) The water shedding panel nodes are similar to the ridge cover board, following national standard node procedures. The water shedding panel, along with its end rain shield and the roof panel end cap, together prevent water from being blown in and climbing up. This node is a crucial waterproofing point and should be constructed strictly according to Figure 3.

All attachments should be handled gently to prevent damaging the protective layer on the color steel sheet surface.

4) During the installation of the air tower, accessories arrived as scheduled. Any accessories not installed by the end of the day should be securely tied down to prevent damage or injury from strong winds.

5) Improvement: During the final acceptance, the owner and the design team proposed an improvement. A support bracket was added between the bottom flange of the wind cap and the water shield board to prevent deformation at the bottom of the wind cap.

The steel plate ventilated roof can be matched with various types of roof panels. The construction nodes above the ridge opening should be constructed according to Figure 2, with the rest utilizing the relevant nodes of the roof panels. Depending on ventilation requirements, the steel plate ventilated roof can be designed and constructed in accordance with the enlarged proportions of Figure 2. The wind cap can be processed and installed in two parts, overlapping during assembly to address the width limitations of the steel plate. With the rapid development of light steel workshops, the steel plate ventilated roof will be applied in projects such as workshops, warehouses, and storage facilities that do not have strict temperature change requirements, playing a significant role.
