High-pressure hose

High-pressure hose assemblies typically consist of a liquid-resistant synthetic rubber inner layer, a middle layer, and reinforced with 1 to 6 layers of steel wire braiding, topped with a weather-resistant synthetic rubber outer layer. They are primarily used in mine hydraulic supports, oilfield extraction, and are suitable for engineering construction, lifting and transportation, metallurgical forging, mining equipment, ships, injection molding machinery, agricultural machinery, various machine tools, and mechanical and automated hydraulic systems across various industrial sectors. These systems transport liquids with specific pressure and temperature, such as oil-based (e.g., mineral oil, soluble oil, hydraulic oil, fuel oil, lubricating oil), water-based liquids (e.g., emulsions, oil-water emulsions, water), gases, and other liquid transmission applications.

Many factors can affect the performance of rubber hose assemblies. Only by selecting the correct hoses and fittings according to the operating conditions can the reliability and cost-effectiveness of the hoses be ensured. These factors include: the inner diameter of the hose should be appropriate; a too small diameter increases the flow velocity of the medium inside the pipeline, causing the system to heat up, reducing efficiency, and creating excessive pressure drops that impact the overall system performance. Additionally, when the hose is secured with clamps or passes through steel plates or other spacer materials, attention should also be given to the outer diameter of the hose.

The dynamic pressure of a general rubber hose refers to the high pressure it can withstand during continuous operation. According to the safety factor specified by international standards for hydraulic hoses, the normal working pressure is typically one-fourth of the hose's lower burst pressure value.

Impact pressure and fatigue life; the selection of hoses is determined by the high pressure values of the hydraulic system design. As the pressure values in hydraulic systems are typically dynamic, shock pressures may occur, with peak values significantly higher than the system's high-pressure setting. However, most systems are equipped with relief valves, so shock pressures generally do not severely affect the fatigue life of the hoses. For hydraulic systems with particularly frequent shock pressures, it is recommended to choose hoses specifically designed for high pulsation shock resistance.

Users should operate the hose within the temperature range permitted by the hose quality specification. If the working environment temperature exceeds this range, it will affect the lifespan of the hose and significantly reduce its pressure-bearing capacity. For systems with long-term excessively high or low working environment temperatures, it is recommended to use a hose sleeve.
