
Usage and Application Range
The RD-II type slip switch is developed by integrating the advanced technology of Siemens sensors with the practical application development of domestic speed sensors (commonly known as speed sensors, low-speed switches, and speed switches). This product is mainly used for rotating equipment such as belt conveyors, hoists, spiral conveyors, grinders, crushers, pumps, centrifugal dryers, mixers, and dust collectors. It can timely handle mechanical failures such as belt slippage, belt breakage, jamming, slow rotation, shaft shearing, and overload, as well as the detachment of transmission chains (belts), thereby protecting the equipment and reducing losses.
Operating Principle
Slip switches differ from proximity switches primarily in that they are internally mounted in a time-delay circuit. They can adjust the internal delay according to the different rotational speeds of the passive shaft to prevent equipment from jamming and stalling. The rotational sensor is installed on the passive shaft, which generates pulse signals for the speed switch through electromagnetic induction principles, using a detection plate mounted on the passive shaft (a pulse is generated when the detection plate rotates to 4-8 mm away from the speed switch).
