System Conditions:
Firstly, we consider the pump's pressure, flow rate, and nozzle quantity. For pressure, we must account for the pressure drop in the piping system, meaning there will be some pressure loss as the fluid travels through the pipeline to the nozzle. Generally, we take an 80-90% reduction. The flow rate determines the size of the nozzle orifice. After determining the number of nozzles, dividing the total flow rate by the number of nozzles gives the flow rate and orifice size for each individual nozzle. The determination of the nozzle quantity takes into consideration factors such as coverage in the spray conditions, nozzle arrangement, and pipeline layout.
Spray Conditions
The spray angle determines the coverage of the spray. In general desulfurization systems, we use a coverage rate of 300% as a benchmark. The number of nozzles considered in the system conditions also needs to be determined based on the nozzle angle.
The distribution characteristics of flow determined by the spray shape, conventional systems include hollow conical, semi-solid semi-hollow conical, and solid conical shapes. When considering the spray shape, we need to pay attention to factors such as nozzle material, spray volume, angle, and clogging prevention.
