What are the precautions for using a drum dryer?

The installed dryer should undergo a non-load trial run for at least 4 hours, and any abnormal situations during the trial run should be addressed promptly. After the trial run, retighten all connecting bolts, check and replenish lubrication oil, and only proceed with load testing after the trial run is normal. Before the load test, conduct single-machine trial runs for all auxiliary equipment. After a successful single-machine test, proceed to the combined trial run. Light the hot air furnace to preheat the dryer, and simultaneously start the dryer's rotation. Prohibit heating the drum without rotation to prevent warping. Gradually add wet material to the drying chamber based on the preheating situation and increase the feeding rate based on the moisture content of the discharged material. Preheating the dryer requires a process, and the hot air furnace also needs a preheating process. Avoid sudden intense fires. Prevent localized overheating and uneven thermal expansion that could cause damage. The fuel's calorific value, the quality of insulation in different parts, the moisture content of the wet material, and the uniformity of feeding rate affect the quality of the dried product and the fuel consumption. Therefore, achieving an optimal state of all parts is an effective way to enhance economic benefits. During operation, the cooling water should be filled in the drum roller frame. Lubrication points should be oiled promptly. When stopping the machine, first extinguish the hot air furnace, and the drying drum should continue to rotate until it cools to near ambient temperature before parking. Prohibit parking at high temperatures to prevent warping and deformation of the drum. In the event of a sudden power outage, immediately extinguish the hot air furnace, stop feeding, and rotate the drum half a turn every 15 minutes until it cools down. This operation procedure should be strictly followed by a designated person to prevent drum warping. Severe warping of the drum could render the dryer unusable.
