During the operation of our mixers, a phenomenon of shaft breakage occurs. What are the reasons behind this issue? Our staff will briefly introduce the relevant knowledge points next.
1. Incorrect selection can lead to insufficient output from the mixing equipment. Some users mistakenly believe that as long as the selected mixer's rated output torque meets the working requirements, it's sufficient. However, this is not the case. If there's an issue with the equipment installation, the output shaft and its load can become stuck. In such situations, the motor's overload capacity will still cause it to continually increase output, potentially leading to the output shaft being subjected to forces exceeding twice its rated output torque, which might result in the reducer's output shaft being twisted off. 2. During acceleration and deceleration, if the instantaneous torque on the mixer's output shaft exceeds twice its rated output torque, and these accelerations and decelerations occur too frequently, it can also cause the reducer's shaft to break. Considering the motor's overload capacity and the actual need for a larger working torque, theoretically, the required larger working torque by the user must be less than twice the reducer's rated output torque.
