The RXI-050 Passive Ring Net differs from traditional barrier structures primarily in the system's flexibility and strength, which are sufficient to absorb and dissipate the kinetic energy of expected falling rock impacts. This fundamentally transforms the traditional rigid or low-strength, low-flexibility structures into high-strength, flexible ones to effectively achieve the protective function of the system. Using the comprehensive parameter of the kinetic energy of falling rocks as the main design parameter avoids the issue of difficulty in determining impact dynamic loads in traditional structural design, achieving quantitative design of the structure. Different standardized RXI models have been developed and perfected to adapt to various common forms and scales of falling rock collapses. The protective energy of these models typically ranges from 40 to 3000 KJ, and special defenses have been developed to handle up to 5000 KJ of higher energy levels.
