When applying an intelligent control module controller to a diesel generator set, it is necessary to understand the following relevant knowledge and preparation work:
1. Verify a standard engine or a fuel-injected engine using the brand and model of the engine. If it's an EFI engine, confirm whether there's a parallel point open, such as with Perkins, Volvo, Cummins, etc., which requires the engine manufacturer to open the engine. Additionally, ensure the wiring between the ECM or controller and the engine ECU is correct.
2. Familiarize yourself with the brand and model of the governor: For instance, Cummins EFC's electric control panel requires a 120kΩ governor resistor. For standard engine electromechanical control panels, you need to know how to connect the terminals on the electronic control panel to the controller, as well as how to set the values of SW1 and SW2 in the software. Fuel-injected engines do not require wiring, but the SW1 and SW2 values should also be set in the software.
3. Familiarize yourself with AVR brand and model: Note how the terminals on the AVR board are connected to the controller, and how to set the values of SW1 and SW2 in the software.
4. If needed, customers may submit the wiring diagrams for DSE 7510 or DSE 5510 to the relevant technical personnel at the generator manufacturer. This helps to verify the accuracy of the diagrams and pre-set the programs in advance, saving time on-site for the customer's program setup.
5. The generator factory is preparing to abandon its transformers (transformers and machines) and suggests that generator droop transformer manufacturers provide them.
Unit 6 includes a resistor. To prevent the resistor's wear from affecting parallel operation, we recommend customers have a spare 120 ohm resistor on hand. The resistor is used to connect the MSC communication port H and L on the head controller and the MSC communication port H and L on the tail controller.
For MSc's communication cables, it is recommended to use the DSE Belden 9841120 European Impedance cable. Using ordinary communication cables may result in MSc communication anomalies.
8. In the case of wiring, the communication cables of the Hainan Conference should not be placed as closely together in the same conduit to avoid interference.
