1. TPG Planar Envelope Gearbox is suitable for a wide range of applications

This standard applies to single-stage enveloping worm gear reducers (hereinafter referred to as the reducer) with a worm speed not exceeding 1500 r/min, operating in an environment with a temperature range of -40°C to 40°C, and a worm shaft capable of rotating in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions. Primarily used for reducing transmission in various mechanical equipment such as metallurgy, mining, lifting, transportation, chemicals, and construction.

This standard includes four types: TPG (General), TPU (Screw under Gear), TPS (Screw beside Gear), and TPA (Screw above Gear), along with their respective series.

The "tp" in the reducer model indicates a helical or spiral bevel worm gear formed as the worm gear with a flat worm, "g" stands for general type (the worm can be below, above, to the side, or standing side of the worm), while "u", "s", and "a" represent the worm being below, to the side, and above the worm gear, respectively. The combinations are:

① TPG represents a general-purpose planar enveloping helical gear reducer.

② TPV stands for worm gear reducer with a planar enveloping surface under the worm gear.

③ TPS stands for worm gear reducer with an enveloping helical worm on the side surface of the worm gear.

④ TPA stands for the worm gear reducer with a worm on a plane enveloping surface above the worm wheel.

3. Basic Parameters of TPG Planar Spiral Bevel Gearbox

The center distance "a" of the reducer should comply with the specifications in Table II-25.

The rated transmission ratio "i" of the reducer should comply with the specifications in Table II-26.
