Product Description:

In municipal, chemical, papermaking, and various other water treatment processes, water body mixing and blending is one of the key process steps. Traditional mixing equipment is divided into two common types: vertical shaft propeller and horizontal (submersible) types. Due to the installation method and blade shape determining the mixing pattern, they are not ideal in terms of energy consumption and mixing efficiency. This not only unnecessarily increases the operating costs of wastewater treatment plants but also directly affects the desired process treatment outcomes. To address these issues, after years of testing and leveraging the design experience of peers, a new type of double-curved mixing machine has been successfully developed. After many years of practical application in multiple wastewater treatment plants, it has achieved favorable results.

Application Scope:

The G/Q/FSJ series curved blade mixers are among the mixers recommended by our company. They are widely used in industries such as environmental protection, chemicals, energy, and light industry, where liquid mixing with solid-liquid, gas, or both is required. Particularly suitable for wastewater treatment processes, including coagulation ponds, regulating ponds, anaerobic ponds, nitrification, and denitrification ponds.

Operating Principle:

The G/Q/FSJ series curved impeller mixers feature a hyperbolic involute blade body on the upper surface, formed by rotating the hyperbolic involute along the axis of the impeller body. The impeller structure design combines fluid characteristics with mechanical motion to a great extent. The equation of the hyperbola is xy=b, and the curved surface is formed by rotating the curve along the y-axis. To accommodate water flow, the design allows water to enter from the center of the impeller, reducing turbulence and ensuring uniform pressure on the impeller surface, thereby maintaining the overall balance of the machine during operation. There are eight guide vanes evenly distributed on the involute double arcs, utilizing the potential energy obtained from the additional water supplied by the liquid's own weight pressure and the kinetic energy generated by the centrifugal force during impeller rotation. Under the influence of gravity, the liquid moves tangentially along the circumference of the impeller due to the transition through the double curved structure, and with the reflection from the pool wall, it forms a cyclic water flow from top to bottom, thus achieving cross-flow in both the axial (y) and radial (x) directions (as shown in the double curved flow state diagram).

The structural characteristics of the impeller and the installation near the bottom of the pool in the G/Q/FSJ series curved impeller mixer ensure a direct sediment prevention effect on suspended particles at its operating position. It achieves ideal mixing results during operation, effectively eliminating dead spots. A larger specific surface area allows for extensive water exchange over a large area.

The impeller structure consists of a guide fluid element, mixing blades, and a drive shaft.

Structure Overview:

The G/Q/FSJ series curved impeller mixers consist of a drive unit, a double curved impeller body, and installation accessories. To meet the varying operational conditions of users, the installation is available in two types: dry (also known as vertical shaft) and submersible. The dry installation involves fixing the drive unit to a work bridge and transferring kinetic energy to the impeller components in the medium through a drive shaft. It is used in liquids with high solid content, high water temperatures, and abrasive properties. Due to the impeller's automatic alignment feature, it operates smoothly with a reducer noise level below 60 decibels. The submersible installation eliminates the need for bridge structures, utilizes submersible power, and positions itself using the equipment's own weight, offering flexible and convenient installation. It is suitable for deep water bodies with stable water quality, free of abrasiveness, and water temperatures not exceeding 40°C with a pH value between 6 and 9. Its features include noiseless operation and no visual obstructions.

Job Characteristics:

The G/Q/FSJ series curved impeller mixers, as mixing equipment, are suitable for blending various low-viscosity liquids, solid-liquid, and gas-liquid mixtures; they are not only used in circular or square ponds but also commonly employed in rectangular water pools for segmented placement.

Among the various wastewater treatment processes in our country, the paddle-type agitator mainly overcomes the issue of dead corners and poor mixing effect in the aeration process that commonly occurs with traditional blade (paddle) agitators, leveraging its advantage of even mixing. Its main characteristics are as follows:

(1) Suitable for mixing liquids, solids, and gases; it can replace existing mixing equipment, achieving a three-dimensional spiral mixing effect for more even and efficient mixing.

(2) Larger specific surface area impellers, with lower power requirements, generate greater recirculating water flow and lower energy consumption, offering energy savings of 30%-50% compared to traditional mixing methods.

(3) The overall structure is compact, reliable in operation, and easy for installation and maintenance.

(4) This impeller is made of reinforced fiber or steel materials, capable of accommodating various operating conditions and boasting a long service life.

Selection and Application:

The G/Q/FSJ series of curved impeller mixers have the same selection, with the only difference being the installation method. Like the selection for other types of mixers, the choice of curved impeller mixers depends on parameters such as the type of tank, volume, liquid depth, medium concentration, temperature, and pH acidity/alkalinity.

The selection of the curved agitator primarily depends on the effective service area of each unit, and in accordance with the principle that the ratio of pool length to width does not exceed twice, the rectangular pool can be divided into several equal working units, thereby determining the number of agitators needed.

For depths exceeding 5 meters or concentrations above the specified limit, consider increasing the power or the working speed of the agitator during selection to ensure effective mixing in large-volume and high-concentration mediums.

Under normal operating conditions, it is recommended to prioritize dry installation. For applications with noise or visual requirements, submersible installation is suggested. Our company can assist customers in selecting the appropriate model for the environment.

Installation:

The installation of the double-cone blender comes in two types: dry installation and wet installation. Both are extremely simple.

The wet installation mixer can be directly lifted into the designated position using a crane or hoist, relying on its own weight for positioning, and securely fasten the cables. See the wet installation illustration.

The dry-mounted mixer first secures the reducer frame onto the work bridge, then simply install the drive shaft, impeller components, and securely fasten the cables, as shown in the dry mounting illustration.

Cautionary Notes:

1. Prior to installation, a qualified electrician must inspect the motor and electrical equipment, confirm the direction of rotation, and ensure the working distance of the impeller from the bottom of the pool is ≤300mm. Additionally, the pool bottom should be flat, sturdy, and free of construction debris.

2 If the equipment is not operated for a prolonged period, prevent sedimentation from causing impeller blockage and damaging the motor upon restart.

Consider the impeller's inlet and outlet dimensions in the enclosed tank.

4 Regardless of the installation method, ensure the underwater cable is securely fastened to prevent wear.

Read the product installation and usage manual carefully before use.
