A flange joint or flange connection refers to a detachable connection formed by the combination of a flange, gasket, and bolt, also known as a flange boss or rim.

The Use of Flanges: Flanges are used in pairs. Soldered flanges are suitable for low-pressure pipelines, while welded flanges are required for pressures over 4 kg. Place a sealing washer between the two flange disks and then secure them with bolts. Flanges of different pressure ratings have varying thicknesses and require different bolts.
