A flange is a component that connects two shafts together, used for joining pipe ends; there are also flanges used at equipment inlets and outlets for connecting two devices, such as reducer flanges. Flange connection or flange joint refers to a removable joint consisting of a flange, a gasket, and bolts, which together form a combined sealing structure, also known as a flange hub or boss.

The usage of flanges: Flanges are always used in pairs. For low-pressure pipelines, threaded flanges can be used, while for pressures above four kilograms, welding flanges are required. Place a sealing gasket between the two flange discs and then secure them with bolts. Flanges of different pressures have different thicknesses, and they also use different bolts.
