Three-way fittings, also known as pipe tees, tee pipes, and tee connectors, etc., primarily serve to alter the direction of fluid flow. They are typically installed at the branching points of main pipelines and can be categorized according to the size of the pipe diameter. Common materials include carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and PVC, among others.

Three-way fittings are used for pipe joints and pipeline connectors. Also known as pipe fitting three-way, three-way pipe fitting, or three-way connector, they are used where the main pipeline needs to branch off.

A three-way fitting is a type of industrial piping component with one inlet and two outlets, or two inlets and one outlet. It comes in T and Y shapes, with both equal and unequal diameter outlets, used at junctions where three pipes of the same or different sizes converge. The primary function of a three-way fitting is to alter the direction of the fluid flow.

The three-way hot pressing forming process involves flattening a pipe blank larger than the three-way diameter to approximately match the three-way diameter size, and then creating a hole at the location for the extension of the branch pipe. After heating, the pipe blank is placed in a forming die and a punch mold for the extension branch pipe is inserted inside the pipe blank.

Under pressure, the billet is radially compressed, during which the metal flows towards the branch pipe and forms the branch under the stretch of the die. The entire process is shaped by the radial compression of the billet and the stretching of the branch area.
