Three-way connectors, also known as pipe tees, tee pipes, and tee joints, etc., are primarily used to alter the direction of fluids. They are commonly installed at branch points of main pipelines and can be categorized according to the size of the pipe diameter. Common materials include carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and PVC.

Three-way connectors are used for pipe fittings and pipe connections. Also known as a three-way fitting or three-way pipe fitting, three-way joint, they are used where the main pipeline needs to branch off.

A three-way is a type of industrial pipe fitting with one inlet and two outlets, or two inlets and one outlet. It comes in both T-shaped and Y-shaped designs, with options for equal and unequal diameter pipe ends, and is used at the junctions of three pipes, either identical or different. The primary function of a three-way is to alter the direction of fluid flow.

The tri-pass hot forming process involves flattening a pipe blank larger than the tri-pass diameter to approximately the size of the tri-pass diameter, then creating a hole at the location for the extension of the branch pipe. The pipe blank is heated, placed into a forming mold, and a punch mold for extending the branch pipe is inserted inside.

Under pressure, the billet is radially compressed, during which the metal flows towards the branch pipe and forms the branch under the stretching of the punch mold. The entire process is shaped through the radial compression of the billet and the stretching of the branch section.
