Reducers, also known as elbow heads, unequal tees, or reducing tees, are one type of chemical pipeline fitting used for connecting pipes of two different diameters. They come in two types based on shape: concentric reducers and eccentric reducers. The materials for reducers include stainless steel reducers (304, 304L, 316, 316L), alloy steel, carbon steel reducers, with materials such as 20# steel, Q235, Q345, 16Mn, etc.

Reduced and expanded ends (elbows) are pipe fittings used for varying pipe diameters. Common forming processes include reduced diameter forging, expanded diameter forging, or a combination of both. For certain sizes of elbows, stamping can also be used. **Reduced/Expanded Diameter Forming:** The reduced diameter forming process involves placing a tube blank with a diameter equal to the larger end of the elbow into a forming die, then pressing along the tube blank's axial direction to cause the metal to move and shrink into shape within the die cavity. The forming is classified as single-step or multi-step based on the size of the elbow's diameter change. **Stamping Forming:** In addition to using steel pipes as raw material for manufacturing elbows, stamping can be employed to produce certain sizes of elbows using steel plates. The shape of the stamping die used for stretching is designed based on the internal surface dimensions of the elbow, and the steel plate is then stamped and stretched into shape using the die.
