Repair Methods for Cable Tray Deformation

Pre-stressed Method. A tensioning device is installed below the main beam, causing the tension force on the rods to bow the main beam. As a result, compressive stress is generated on the lower cover plate of the main beam, while tensile stress occurs on the upper cover plate. This stress is opposite to the stress caused by external loads, which counteracts some of the working stress, thereby improving the stress condition of the main beam. Therefore, the purpose of the cable tray pre-stressing method is to strengthen the main beam and correct deflection. The method is simple and easy to implement, with the outward tilt being easy to control. The drawback is its limitations and the difficulty in correcting the deformation of more complex bridges. Distribution cabinets and distribution boxes can also be accommodated.

Flame straightening research methods. The flame straightening process involves heating certain critical parts of the bridge, which expand due to the heat. However, it is limited by the adjacent unheated system parts, preventing free expansion. Consequently, the heated parts are compressed. After cooling, they shrink again. In the cooling design process of the heated components, the proximity of the surrounding metals creates a contraction force, which is equivalent to applying a bending moment below the neutral layer of the main beam to restore its arch shape. This allows for the correction of economic structures and deformation. The flame straightening method is flexible, enabling enterprises to address various complex deformations in cable bridge structures.

How is grounding work typically performed on cable trays?

When grounding galvanized bridge channels, the resistance at the galvanized end must not be less than 0.00033 ohms.
