Graphite plates post-unloading treatment within the furnace body

After the graphite plate is removed,We extract graphitized metallurgical coke, and then we use iron bars to crush the hard block material, removing the waste and replacing it with new material. If the insulation material on both sides of the vertical furnace body has not collapsed and the insulation condition is good, it can be reused. However, we must first remove the surface graphite powder.
After the furnace body is cleaned, we inspect the furnace head and the conductive electrode, particularly for any damage. Our method of inspection is to敲击 the other end of the conductive electrode with a wooden mallet. If you hear a clear sound, it indicates the electrode is undamaged. If the sound is muffled, the electrode may be faulty. At this point, we remove some graphite powder from the furnace end liner and also remove the graphite block from the inside of the furnace end to check the breakage location.

Due to a small portion of graphite powder oxidizing during the power-on process, we should use a long iron rod to stir the mixture between the inner and outer walls of the furnace head for even distribution. After stirring, we can reduce the voids in the graphite powder and add a moderate amount more. The inner wall of the furnace head has significant cracks. We can apply refractory mortar to fill the cracks on the outer wall, while using lime paste to fill the inner wall裂缝.

The lifespan of graphite plates is closely related to their maintenance and inspection. Well-maintained graphite plates can be used for continuous production for a long time.
