Screw-type mixerThe working principle involves the motor driving the main shaft of a specially arranged screw through a reducer. When the center discharge is activated, the external screw moves the material to the center position, while the internal screw pushes the material towards the end plate. The two streams of material interact through diffusion, convection, shearing, misalignment, and radial movement, resulting in a highly effective and rapid mixing of the material.

The twin-screw mixer can be selected with different screw types based on material characteristics – continuous screw, intermittent screw, and paddle screw. The three types of screws can be arranged in two forms depending on the discharge point: central and end discharge.

Screw-type mixers are primarily used for blending powdered and granular materials in industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food, pesticides, plastics, pigments, cosmetics, and feed additives.
