1. Working Principle of the Venturi Mixer
The Venturi mixer operates by using high-pressure material as the working stream and pressureless (low-pressure) material as the suction stream. It吸入and喷射another low-pressure fluid stream by utilizing the negative pressure generated by the high-speed flow through the nozzle, and then mixes them within the mixing tube.
The Venturi mixer has two significant advantages over other types of mixers. First, it can directly mix fluids of different pressures. Second, the SN series jet mixers can increase the pressure of fluids with lower pressure.
2. Types of Venturi Misters
The Venturi mixers come in three main models: JHWP-Ⅰ, JHWP-Ⅱ, and JHWP-Ⅲ. The JHWP-Ⅰ Venturi mixer operates with a liquid working stream, using a liquid as the suction stream, which is drawn and jetted through a high-speed nozzle to create a vacuum. This vacuum then draws and mixes another low-pressure fluid stream within the mixing tube. The liquid/liquid jet mixers are designed for dilution, transfer, and mixing functions. They are used in industries such as petrochemicals, steel metallurgy, thermal power, medicine, and environmental protection for the transfer, dilution, and mixing of liquid in water treatment. Corrosion-resistant liquid/liquid jet mixers are lined with stainless or carbon steel and have a polytetrafluoroethylene shell. The nozzles are made of polytetrafluoroethylene, offering excellent corrosion resistance, ideal for diluting, transferring, and mixing corrosive materials such as concentrated sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and other corrosive substances.
The JHWP-II Venturi mixer is a gas/gas mixer, where both the working fluid and the entrainment fluid are gases. Due to the low viscosity of gases, the JHWP-II Venturi mixer is almost applicable to all gases as long as the operating conditions are suitable.
The JHWP-Ⅲ Venturi mixer is a gas/liquid mixer, where the liquid pressure is typically higher as the working fluid, while the gas pressure is lower as the suction fluid. The jet mixer operates with liquid material as the working fluid and gaseous material as the suction fluid. The liquid material is高速 ejected into the suction chamber through a nozzle, converting its pressure energy into kinetic energy to form a high-speed jet. The gas in the suction chamber is forcibly entrained by the high-speed jet, where it rubs against the high-speed jetted fluid, mixing and compressing to form a gas-liquid mixture stream. This mixture then enters an expander, lowering the suction chamber pressure to create a vacuum, and the mixer is equipped with functions for evacuation, mixing, condensation, and drainage.
