The working principle of the extraction tower reactor is based on the development of a new technology for honeycomb (FG) structured packing extraction towers, which is used in liquid-liquid extraction processes such as refining furfural, deasphalting propane, and extracting phenol from phenolic wastewater.


Achieved successful application. Practice shows that this high-efficiency extraction tower boasts advantages such as large processing capacity, low pressure drop, high mass transfer efficiency, and ease of manufacturing and maintenance.


(I) Characteristics of packing for the extraction tower reactor:


1. Employing FG type packing to retrofit traditional tray towers and packed extraction towers can boost production capacity by over 50%. When designing the new unit, the tower diameter can be reduced under the same processing capacity, thereby minimizing equipment.

2. Large void ratio, exceeding 96%, with strong anti-blocking performance.


3. The tower has a higher loading ratio, approximately 1.5 times that of the traditional extraction tower.


4. High mass transfer efficiency, ensuring high extraction efficiency even at higher tower loading rates.


5. Long service life, easy to maintain and reusable.


6. The smooth FG type packing achieves enhanced clarification and separation, reducing phase carryover.

Type I - Smooth Plate (for coalescence sedimentation section)


Ⅱ-Type - Round Hole (FG-Ⅱ-K) or Tongue Hole (FG-Ⅱ-S) (for Extraction Mass Transfer Section)


Ⅲ-Type - Support Redistribution Packing (for support redistribution)
