316 stainless steel medium-thick plate has a ferritic microstructure with a chromium content ranging from 11.5% to 32.0%. As the chromium content increases, its corrosion resistance also improves. Adding molybdenum (Mo) enhances its resistance to acid corrosion and stress corrosion. National standard grades of this type of stainless steel include 00Cr12, 1Cr17, 00Cr17Mo, 00Cr30Mo2, etc. Main applications include heat exchangers for pulp and paper processing equipment, dyeing equipment, film developing machines, pipes, and exterior materials for buildings in coastal areas. It is also used in the electromagnetic valve field, primarily for shells, clamps, spheres, valve bodies, seats, nuts, valve stems, and more.
